Dr. Scott Yoho, DO

Medical Director

Dr. Scott Yoho attended Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school and The Ohio State University for his psychiatry residency. Dr. Yoho currently provides outpatient psychiatric care, psychotherapy as well as TMS therapy. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, watching and playing sports, and is an avid live music fan.

Jessica studied psychology at Wright State University. She has been a Medical Assistant for nine years. Before joining Emerald Psychiatry, she was with a Primary Care Physician. When Jessica is not working, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters and family. She also loves shopping, traveling, reading, and learning new things.

Rachel McCarley, CNP

Clinical Services Manager

Rachel graduated with a BA from Ohio Wesleyan University and a MSW and MS in Nursing from Ohio State University.Prior to starting as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, she worked as a social worker for 15 years in a variety of settings including foster care, inpatient and outpatient mental health and a crisis center. Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband and their four rescue dogs.

Jennifer Selekman

Spravato & TMS Technician

Jennifer works full time as our TMS & Mental Health Clinician. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.  She has worked in the mental health field for much of her career and enjoys making a positive impact on the community both vocationally and personally. She enjoys nail art, being an amateur foodie, and performing in community theater.

Steven Hunt, PA-C

Medication Management Manager

Steven attended Marshall University with his bachelor’s in biology with a minor in Chemistry and French and the University of Kentucky for his MSPAS, PA-C. He provides medication management services and has a particular interest in psychopharmacology and how differences in medications can lead to a more tailored treatment for treating mood, anxiety, trauma, substance use, as well as attention concentration-deficit disorders. In his free time, Steven enjoys spending time with his French Bulldog Ezra, watching movies of all genres, and socializing with family and friends.

Molly attended Lake Forest College for her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and The Ohio State University for her master’s degree in Social Work.Molly is passionate about helping those struggling with mental health conditions to create a life worth living despite challenges they may face.In her free time, Molly enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking and hiking with her dog Betty Crocker.

Cori attended The Ohio State University for her bachelor’s degree and Ursuline College for her dual master’s degree in Counseling and Art Therapy. She provides individual and group psychotherapy services to adults recovering from varying mental health and substance use disorders. Cori is passionate about helping clients through explorative art making, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and verbal processing. She utilizes EMDR Therapy for additional approaches to healing. Cori enjoys boxing, cooking, and hiking with her four-legged children.

Psychiatric Certified Nurse Practitioner

She attended The Ohio State University where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in public health with a concentration in sociology as well as a master’s degree in psychiatric mental health nursing. She has extensive experience working with people of all ages, including autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disabilities, who exhibit challenging mental states in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and dogs.

Vanessa McElroy, CNP

Vanessa attended Ohio State University for her bachelor’s degree and Wilkes University for her master’s degree. Prior to becoming a Psychiatric/ Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Vanessa worked in a variety of community mental health settings, neuro intensive care and in nursing leadership roles.  In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and two daughters.

Scott attended Miami University (Ohio) for his bachelor’s degree and Northwestern University for his master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. Scott is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the State of Ohio and a National Credentialled Counselor (NCC).  Scott specializes in addiction, anxiety, depression, and trauma. In his free time, Scott enjoys rescuing dogs, playing sports, live music, documentaries, and gardening.

Stephanie attended The Ohio State University for both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing. She has a passion for helping individuals reach their fullest potential with a combination of therapy and medication management. She predominately uses CBT, DBT and psychodynamic therapy in her psychotherapy practice. She has a particular interest in caring for those with mood disorders, anxiety, and trauma. Stephanie also has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults with autism spectrum disorder. In her free time Stephanie enjoys hot yoga, cooking, and spending time with her husband and two cats.

Eriq earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix. Eriq’s approach covers a wide range of evidenced-based treatment modalities, and he is primarily person-centered, and strengths based. In his spare time, Eriq enjoys biking, reading, creative writing, spending time with family and friends, hiking, and periodically baking.

Brandon earned his master’s degree from the Ohio State University college of nursing, specializing in psychiatry and mental health. He has experience in treating adults with depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance use disorders, and bipolar disorder. Brandon implements dialectical behavioral therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy with patients. And in his free time, he enjoys playing chess, watching the office, anime and doing CrossFit.

Ann attended Charleston Southern University in South Carolina for a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, and Northern Kentucky University for a master’s degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing. She is passionate about working together to help people achieve their mental health and wellness goals by utilizing medication management and psychodynamic therapy. Bela has been working in the field of mental health and recovery services for fifteen years as both as an administrator and clinician, working with a varied population that includes the homeless, veterans, folks involved in the criminal justice system and the LGBTQ population.  He believes in the power of connectivity and realize that so many people don’t feel connected due to their mental health and/or substance use, and with this belief there is a responsibility as a clinician to help instill hope, motivation and the belief that people change for the better. In his free time, he likes to be with his children, partner and her children, and enjoys music and writing.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Andrea attended The Ohio State University where she earned a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in mental health. Prior to becoming a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Andrea worked as a nurse in the emergency department at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and most recently was in nursing leadership at the same institution. She is invested in developing client-provider relationships that are built on compassion, trust, and respect. She is passionate about helping clients achieve positive outcomes in their mental health journeys. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and cheering on her favorite sport teams. She loves being outdoors, if Ohio weather cooperates, where she is usually playing golf or hiking, and has acquired a newfound interest in pickleball.

Traci works full-time as one of our dedicated TMS treaters at our West Broad Street location. She is extremely passionate about helping others and has been with our practice over five years. She has a background in Pharmaceutical Marketing and Healthcare Insurance. When Traci is not working, she spends time with her family, loves sports (especially golf and football), and enjoys nature.

Jonathan is a graduate of The University of Findlay Physician Assistant Program. He obtained a master’s degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2008 and holds a doctorate degree in health science from Nova Southeastern University. He is experienced in mental health treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and working with the LGBTQIA+ community. In his spare time, he enjoys his two children, family, and traveling.

Kayla earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount Carmel College of Nursing and graduated from Northern Kentucky University with her master’s degree in nursing, specializing in psychiatric and mental health. She has experience working with adults in inpatient and outpatient settings, treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, attention- deficit disorders and sleep disorders. She enjoys working in mental health because she has the capability to help each individual reach and maintain their overall mental health goals through a variety of treatment options. In her free time, Kayla enjoys trail riding with horses, cooking, finding the best sushi around town and hanging out with her dog, husband, and family.

My name is John Edgar, I am lifelong resident of Franklin County. I have been a practicing therapist for nearly a decade. I have experience working with families and individuals in a variety of settings. I have built skills in Solution Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Here at Emerald, I am hoping to bring these skills together to help people overcome struggles and live their best life. Outside of counseling I am very passionate about music and gardening. I play a variety of instruments and when I’m not doing that I am tending to my garden or my many indoor plants.

Ashley graduated from Walden University in 2018 with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Addiction Counseling. She has 5 years of experience in working with adults (men, women, first responders/vets) who struggle with trauma, dissociative symptoms, anxiety, and mood disorders. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and EMDR trained. She also uses CBT, DBT and Person-Focused interventions to best serve the needs of each client. Ashley considers it an honor and privilege to walk alongside someone during their difficult time and provide them the tools and resources so they may thrive and begin to feel empowered, despite their circumstances. She loves to spend time with her husband and two dogs by going on hikes. She loves to read books and provide green spaces in and outside of my home with many, many plants.

Lisa graduated from Beloit College with a BA in English Literature in 1988 and earned her MSW from Indiana University in 1996. She has nearly three decades of experience working with adults who struggle with mood disorders, personality disorders, substance abuse and both personal and societal trauma. As a therapist, Lisa is committed to helping her clients recognize their worth, courage and ability to author their lives. She has training and experience in CBT, DBT and enjoys utilizing creativity and mindfulness as therapeutic supports. She enjoys hiking with her family, snuggling with her dog and cats, listening to music and podcasts, and baking.

Rebekah attended Nyack College for her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. She spent upwards of 15 years working in Human Resources before choosing a new career path in Counseling. She attended Crown College and acquired her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. Rebekah is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) in the State of Ohio. Rebekah works with individuals suffering with mental health conditions, as well as substance and alcohol use disorders. Her goal is to help these individuals to restore their level of daily functioning and realize their full potential by encouraging them to recognize their self-worth and strength through genuine therapeutic support. Rebekah uses a person-centered approach first and foremost, and has experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy. Rebekah is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and has recently completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy through EMDR Consulting. She has enjoyed integrating EMDR into her practice and is excited about the potential for using this to help relieve daily affects that trauma and addiction have on the lives of her clients. Therapist

Cait graduated from The Ohio State University’s Master of Social Work program focusing on mental health. She has specialized experience working with eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image, and enjoys helping clients create a better relationship with food, body, and movement. She also has a history of working with the LGBTQ+ population, college students, and adults with a variety of mental health concerns.

She uses a person-centered approach to meet the client’s personal goals and applies interventions from a variety of evidenced-based therapeutic modalities including CBT, RO DBT, DBT, and ACT. She is trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for those who experienced trauma.

In her spare time, she is busy being a human and a fur Mom. She enjoys crafting, crocheting, going to concerts, indoor and outdoor gardening, reading, and playing some video games.

Serina graduated from The Ohio State University’s Master of Social Work program and has experience background working with many populations, including teens, parents, autistic/neurodiverse individuals, and persons with intellectual disabilities.  She treats various mental health symptoms including anxiety, ADHD, and depression.

Serina has significant experience in caregiver coaching, and takes an interest in supporting clients through faith deconstruction/transitions. In her practice, she utilizes therapeutic modalities like ACT, DBT, CBT, and TF-CBT.  Serina prioritizes compassionate listening and practical strategies to help clients build confidence in navigating life’s moments of struggle and satisfaction. She values understanding people’s stories and offering support tailored to client’s individual needs.

Psychiatric Physician Assistant

Megan graduated from Miami University with a bachelor’s in psychology and went on to complete her master’s in physician assistant studies at Mount St Joseph University in Cincinnati, Ohio.  She has a passion for and experience in treating mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, ADHD, and bipolar disorder.  She loves spending time with her family going to sporting events including baseball and soccer.   She enjoys watching movies and reading in her free time.

Rachel Edwards, LPCC

Therapist 

Rachel is originally from central New York and earned her BA in Political Science from Alfred University in 2007. After earning her degree from AU, Rachel attended Officer Candidate School for the US Navy and served as a Surface Warfare Officer aboard a frigate and a destroyer, leading sailors through three deployments to the South China Sea, Central America, and the Middle East.

Rachel went on to earn her MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Canisius University in Buffalo, NY in 2020, and she is now an independently licensed counselor in NY and OH. Rachel has been working for Emerald since October of 2023.  She enjoys working with adults to identify unhealthy behavioral and thought patterns in order to start creating positive change. She focuses on a holistic approach to include mental health, physical well-being, spiritual health, relationships, and identity work. She has experience working with veterans, veterans’ families, the perinatal population, mothers, and adults struggling with relationships and family dynamics.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys the peace, joy, and challenges of country living with her husband, as well as traveling, cooking, and spending time with her nieces and nephew.

Nicole “Nikki” Calloway, LPCC

I have been serving in the counseling field since 1994.  After graduating from Clemson University in 1998, I began my career working in hospice. I have worked in private practice as well as in other treatment settings. Counseling has been my passion and mission for over 20 years. I enjoy helping clients work through challenges to eventually find solutions for a better quality of life. I enjoy working with adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance abuse issues, domestic violence, divorce issues, communication skills, life transitions, spiritual abuse, marginalized populations, LGBTQIA+, ADHD, multicultural populations, military vets, grief, and end of life work. My main treatment modalities are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused Therapy. My unique style and approach to therapy is designed to empower clients to learn more about themselves and how to navigate their relationships.

LaTasha D. Washington MDiv, MACC, LPC

Therapist

LaTasha D. Washington is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and currently residing in Columbus, Ohio. She is a graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College majoring in Psychology with minors in English and Child & Family Studies. A seminary graduate of Ashland Theological Seminary graduating with a Master of Divinity and a Masters in Practical Theology. LaTasha completed her Masters in Clinical Counseling from Liberty University. She is also certified in Mental Health First Aid and has obtained her License Professional Counselor credential from the State Board of Ohio in 2018.

 

Active in the mental health field since 1998, LaTasha is experienced with working with various ages, cultures, religions, and genders. She is the developer of curriculum for the Black Girls Glow and the Transit Arts Residency Programs at Central Community House in Columbus, Ohio. LaTasha has been a keynote speaker, panelist, and consultant for agencies and hospitals. Energetic, interactive, and packed with relatable instruction, LaTasha’s presentations are captivating as well as informative.

 

LaTasha, the creator & founder of her own practice, LifeWalk LLC, an interactive & practical approach to counseling, is passionate about mental health and ministry. LaTasha seeks to fulfill her calling by combining the two so that God’s people can live life and that more abundantly. Included in this combination, LaTasha passionately specializes in depression, anxiety, Biblical Clinical Counseling, mental health & the church, domestic violence, trauma, and Spiritual Abuse. Celestia holds a Master of Social Work from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Public Advocacy from Ohio University. With extensive experience in addressing issues related to sex, sexuality, and gender, Celestia has worked in specialized community mental health settings with LGBTQIA+ youth (ages 14+) and in trauma-informed care for adults. They are committed to fostering an affirming, collaborative, and safe therapeutic environment, valuing the trust clients place in their providers when seeking treatment. Celestia employs a range of modalities including CBT, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Culturally Sensitive Therapy, DBT, Integrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Strength-Based Therapy. Believing in the uniqueness of each client, Celestia collaborates to develop tailored treatment plans that address individual goals.

Alisha earned her degree from The Ohio State University’s Master of Social Work Program, with a focus in mental health and substance abuse. Her areas of interest and experience include working with adolescents experiencing a Substance Use Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Alisha utilizes Motivational Interviewing in counseling along with modalities such as CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. Alisha is dedicated to helping clients recognize their intrinsic strengths and abilities and encourages them to use these skills to create the life they desire. Alisha also places importance on the identification and implementation of healthy strategies that clients can use to cope with life’s stressors. With 7 years of inpatient psychiatric experience and 4 years of outpatient care, she is dedicated to providing compassionate and effective patient care. In her free time, Angela enjoys watching her kids play sports, running, reading, and spending time with her four dogs.
