We Actively Work With You:

Emerald Psychiatry currently accepts most major insurance plans.  Please call our office if you do not see your plan listed; we will be happy to assist you with your insurance questions.

For TMS Only:

TMS: Our insurance coordinator will work with you and your insurance company to determine what they will cover/pay and any payment you may be personally responsible to pay.  We also accept patient self-payment.

Helping You Access Care:

As a psychiatric practice that provides TMS therapy and medication management, we strive to make our treatments accessible to all. Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation is covered by many insurance plans, but we still need to obtain pre-authorization for some services.

Nearly all commercial insurance plans and Medicare plans have recognized the effectiveness of treating depression with TMS Therapy and now cover TMS as part of their plans. Medicaid does not cover TMS therapy at this time.

In the circumstance that your insurance does not cover TMS therapy, alternative means for paying for this treatment are possible. If Dr. Yoho recommends TMS therapy a Benefits Investigation will be done in order to evaluate a patient’s benefits and the patient’s financial obligations for these treatments. See here for a full list of insurance plans that cover TMS.

This is sometimes a complicated task, but our goal is to have our patients focus on the mental health treatment, and not your insurance plan.

We accept many major insurance plans including:

Emerald’s Response to “Responsible Restart Ohio” Protocols

Please note that as of April 28th, ALL PSYCHIATRIC MEDICATION MANAGEMENT APPOINTMENTS AND THERAPY/COUNSELING APPOINTMENTS WILL CONTINUE TO BE DONE VIA TELEPSYCHIATRY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF TMS TREATMENTS, WHICH WILL CONTINUE TO BE DONE IN OUR OFFICE. Although some types of medical encounters/procedures will be “restarting” in the coming weeks, it has been made clear that any work that can be done remotely, should continue to be done remotely. Our patients have reported overwhelmingly positive responses to our telepsychiatry services. We will continue to practice recommended social/physical distancing at this time through telepsychiatry appointments, other than TMS treatments. Emerald will continue to monitor any changes in recommendations from the state of Ohio and will update this section as necessary.
